This is a committee aimed at helping congregations to bring older adults into greater participation and involvement within their churches. The OAM oversees a process which awards financial grants to Conference-related nursing homes and care facilities. These grants are used to support innovative and new programs for our institutionalized aged. The committee seeks to encourage an awareness and a sensitivity to the spiritual depth and richness of our senior members, and to aid pastors to develop older adult ministries within their own congregations. The Committee on Older Adult Ministries desires to be a willing resource for all members of the CPCUMC.
