Central PA Conference Scholarships
Each year the Central Pennsylvania Conference Commission on Higher Education and Campus Ministry offers a number of small scholarships to United Methodist students from our churches who are or will be attending United Methodist schools, colleges or universities. Our aim is to assist committed young people and to support our United Methodist schools. You can help by encouraging students to consider United Methodist schools and if admitted to apply for these grants. Available from the Conference are:
- Two to Four Conference Merit Scholarships of $500 to $1000 each
Students must fill out an application:

John Wesley said that “education and vital piety must be conjoined”. As we support our students we support the very foundations of our faith. If you have questions or concerns about our United Methodist loan or scholarship programs please contact me at ericfunk@cpcpastors.org
2009-2010 Racial/Ethnic Scholarships
Each year the Conference provides scholarship funds to “persons of racial-ethnic minority background who are affiliated with a United Methodist Church in the Central Pennsylvania Conference.” Last year over $25,000 was distributed to such persons who demonstrated a financial need and met the qualifications regarding conference church involvement.
While most participating students are enrolled in four-year undergraduate programs, there are no restrictions as to major or type of institution. The two-sided application form is included in this pastor’s packet mailing. It is each pastor’s responsibility to identify potential recipients of this scholarship, to inform them of its availability, and to co-sign the application as verification that the potential recipient meets the stated conditions for the scholarship.
Students must fill out this application:
